|Hit by the brick of Life~
Ok, so I'm all moved in~ Got very lucky, as our fourth bedroom has no one in it, so I don't have to worry about a potential problem person (instead, I get to be it xD). Not sure if it's quite sunk in that this is where I'm going to be living for the next year (or longer). Also not sure if it's quite sunk in that half of the money I make each month is going to be going to rent and car payments - and those are the planned
Unrelatedly, I've come to the conclusion that a big reason I like Arashi so much is that I like all
of the members - as opposed other bands I've liked (American and Japanese) where one or two just sort of fell by the wayside for me. I rather like the feeling.
And classes tomorrow! I'm hoping all the drama watching I've been doing will make up for the fact that I've forgotten all the Japanese I ever learned and then some. Here's to hoping having friends in my Chinese religions class will help me get through it without murdering anyone.
Here's to hoping it all works out.

|Countdown . . .
Uwaaa . . . Moving into the apartment this weekend. And then school starts the day after that. Yay. Got everything but my course packet for JPN, so I'll try to get that Monday I guess.
Snagged a new shirt at work today, so I will smell somewhat less like a deep-fryer on some days of the week. Always a cause for celebration, that.
Got Arashi's album without too much fuss with Fedex, though we were on rather opposite schedules . . . Love it a lot, though I like the first disc better than the second. Now I'm waiting for the Love Rainbow single, which I haven't even heard yet, lol.
Scored the first 3 boxsets of One Piece 2nd season for about $35 total (no shipping, yay Prime~). They're usually $50 a pop, so it was quite a steal, hope to be getting those tomorrow~ I managed to survive without a manga chapter last week, but we're back in good form this week, though now I'm impatient for next week's chapter -__-
And KR Double is ending soon, and I (as well as a good portion of the fandom, I believe) will miss it dearly. Not excited about O'z yet, but I'm still grieving the loss of Double, so that might have something to do with it . . .

|Random thoughts . . .
It has hit those last few weeks where you realize that summer is almost over and you've barely enjoyed it and you haven't bought your school books yet, and you haven't even thought about what you're going to need to move into your apartment, and you're hoping you'll be able to handle rent/food/car payments/etc when your hours keep slowly and steadily getting whittled down at work. (I really can't complain too much. My hours are still pretty decent). And why is it that it's the stoner guy at work who's always screwing things up that has the rich aunt who passes away and inherits some ridiculous amount of money? (Apparently enough to just up and buy a house with it~)
Speaking of work, why is it that that to become a manager I would have to make less money? I think it would be a good thing to have on a resume, but at the same time, aforementioned outflow of cash could be an issue if I don't have enough driving hours. Bah.
Have my 5x10 DVD yet to watch - I'm never in the mood when I have time, lol. Finally ordered the new album as well. I was cutting it a bit close. I had a decent amount of points on CDJapan, so it only cost about $20 even with the fastest shipping (I figured why not?). Pretty excited about Ooku as well, haven't really seen Nino in anything since Ryusei (well, Ive been watching some of his older dramas - Stand Up!<3 - but nothing really recent, I don't think . . .) but who knows when I'll actually get to see it. Makes me wish GANTZ was coming out here like it is practically everywhere else. Speaking of GANTZ, I'm surprised that they're making it 2 movies. Has a kinda HP feeling to it.
I need to get sleeping habits into shape before school starts *__*

I am very much amused by the idea of love at first sight. Romeo and Juliet always irritated the fuck out of me, because, disregarding how young they both were, it's ridiculous to think you can love someone enough to die for them that quickly. There might be people who do this and get ridiculously lucky - they eventually become the soulmates they always thought they were - but the grand majority of the time, love requires work. It doesn't just happen.

|A question of Context . . .
"There appeared to be no obvious difference between . . ."
In the summary of the research article I am writing, you would read the above as meaning exactly that, no difference between x and y. If you were reading it in a story/novel/fic/whatever, how would that differ? I, at least, would read it and assume that there was more to it - that while there did not at first appear to be a difference, one was about to become clear, ie. "There appeared to be no obvious difference between their magic, but upon closer inspection, she could she how his was tight and controlled while hers had an element of choas present." Or whatever.
The first is being deliberately vague so as not to assume, the second is . . . I am copping out on that, and saying it depends on the author's intention *g*
Don't mind me, just procrastinating . . .

|On elections . . .
Hmm . . . on Florida's ballot for this election is the option of an amendment that would
"protect marriage as the legal union of only one man and one woman as husband and wife and provides that no other legal union that is treated as marriage or the substantial equivalent thereof shall be valid or recognized."
read: ban gay marriage. My mother, upon reading this: "Why is this on here? Why do I care if they get married or not?"
Ahahahahaha . . . Really, I'm not sure if the worst part is her occasional obliviousness to the current times, or the fact that the text goes on to state that the financial impact of the amendment will likely be minor. Always got an eye on the money, hmm?
Vote "No" on 2!

Ah, Fay. You sure are taking your time, hmm? Feel free to leave anytime you like -__-

Both my laptop and my desktop decided to wig out on me. The laptop's problem being that I can't open anything in Office, Word being the one I was attempting to use. I believe it was caused by an update to Office which was unable to complete for some reason. And my desktop can't get past this one screen - the same thing happened to my sister's, and she needed a new wireless card. I have no idea how it would have managed to break just sitting on the floor, but w/e. Everything but office is functioning fine on the laptop, so I guess that's good. I was in a writing mood last night though, and I can't stand to use notepad, but there was nothing else to use. FAIL, computers, EPIC SYNCHRONIZED FAIL.

totally inspired the opening sequence of Kung Fu Panda. TRUFAX, y'all. (This leads one to a kung fu AU doesn't it? Hmm . . .)

Green Day, Time of Your Life - How are we all such saps? *goes off to cry in a corner*
|Friday, May 30th, 2008|
The last day of school (last day there ever and ever) didn't really feel like it, I dunno. First there was the bit where everyone was like, "see you Saturday" (for the dinner), and that took a lot of the urgency out of it. But I couldn't help but feel like we'd all be back in 3 months, you know? I've known some of these friends for 6 years, known some of my teachers for four, and now . . . what? I know a lot of these friendships will go by the wayside, especially the casual ones, but. At least I know it happened, hm?

|Some kinda record . . .
So I maybe caved and dropped $50 on the Deluxe Fever. Almost have parents convinced to buy Pretty. Odd. Deluxe for my birthday. I am a horrible daughter, coercing people into spending exorbitant sums of money upon me. I just . . . I dunno. I can has Panic!boys? Yes? Yes.

|Go spin circles for me . . .
My parents caved and gave me the laptop today, instead of waiting til the 4th. Yay! And we found the network key. Yay! Now . . . huh. We'll see about that, lol.

|She can't possibly be blogging . . .
But she is! *gasp* Just wanted to say that Projekt Revolution was awesome (even more so if you get your sister to pay for your ticket) And it is even more so (again) if you have a bottle of water by your side the whole time (especially if you're outside). Linkin Park doesn't get on til about 9:20 (10 if you live in the lightning capital of the world -__-) and some people didn't even make it through the gate, so dress appropriately and bring enough money for both your merchandise and a $4.00 bottle of water to be refilled in the bathrooms if you don't want to buy more than one (no bottles/drinks/umbrellas were allowed into the fairgrounds - I'm assuming that was a Projekt Rev rule and not one of the amphitheatre's cause they weren't taking them the week before at the Goo Goo Dolls concert).

|Meaningless Art That People Showed
Where the hell did that title come from? I blame it on Ruki. They sound cute when they say it though, so he's forgiven.
*is busy watching everyone spazz about Kai in the DVD*
*has herself already spazzed about Kai in the DVD*
As I said when this came up earlier, Kai just wants everyone to remember that there are five sexy men in GazettE, thank you very much.

|*watches time fly by*
So. Yeah. Wow. Hmmm, well, Grandmother bought me a car - '96 Chevy Cavelier. But til I get a job, I can't drive it because that requires insurance of which I have to pay half of. And I don't happen to have 90 bucks on hand every month (or, y'know, any). Then there's still that pasky license bit. But I would love to be able to drive to school, and sleep in an extra hour, hour and a half. And it would be rather useful if I end up going to UF.
Well, in the time since I've updated, Neechan's managed to get me into Jrock through Moon Child. I believe her original intent was to get someone to squeal about Gackt with her - and I have no problem with that by any means. I just meandered off more towards the other big Jrocker in the movie, which is to say HYDE, and by extension, L'Arc~en~Ciel. Tee-hee.
I went with Neesan and Becca to see Tamora Pierce speak at the library in Clearwater. She spoke for an hour, and was fun to listen to - not boring. ^_^ I neverrealized exactly how much reserach she puts into those books though - enough to give me a headache.
